Ecotherapy and Nature Based Therapy Symposium
This symposium aims to bring together key speakers involved in the field and a range of practitioners to discuss and share experiences around practising ecotherapy and nature based therapy. Ronen Berger and Linda Buzzell (by Skype) will be keynote speakers.
One day symposiums run in conjunction with The Centre for Ecotherapy, Counsellors and Psychotherapists Outdoors and The University of Brighton.
Friday 20th June 2014 9.30-5.00pm. Cost £60 (includes all refreshments and drinks reception).
9.30 Arrival and registration (tea and coffee available)
10.00 Introduction Martin Jordan
10.10 Keynote Dr Ronen Berger (via skype) The lecture will present the basic theory, concepts and methods of nature therapy.
11.00 Tea/Coffee break
11.20 Parallel Sessions A number of speakers presenting around ecotherapy practice and projects, therapeutic relationship outdoors, case studies of nature based work.
1.00pm Lunch (Foyer Checkland Building)
2.00pm Parallel Sessions/workshops including art therapy in nature, poetry therapy and nature, case studies and research
3.00pm Tea/Coffee break
3.20-4.20pm Keynote Linda Buzzell, (via skype) M.A., M.Journalism, M.F.T. is a psychotherapist and career counselor in private practice in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles, California.
4.20 – 5.00pm Plenary – panel discussion Dr Ronen Berger, Dr Joe Hinds and others
5.00pm Onwards Drinks and Nibbles, (Foyer Checkland Building)
