Postdoctoral Scholar Positions on Energy and Indoor Environmental Quality in Buildings
The candidates will work within the SinBerBEST project. SinBerBEST is a large joint research project between UC Berkeley, National University of Singapore, and Nanyang Technological University. This effort aims to improve energy efficiency, sustainability and indoor environmental quality in buildings in tropical climates. The successful candidates will join a team of researchers funded for 10 years (2012-2022) by Singapore’s National Research Foundation. We are recruiting candidates for Theme A: Human-Building Nexus – Enhancing Health and Productivity in the Built Environment. Our mission is “to create knowledge, innovate, and develop solutions to enhance health, well-being, and productivity through smart buildings for tropical climates”. We are particularly interested in recruiting candidates for working on issues related to thermal comfort, indoor air quality, human performance, HVAC systems and Post Occupancy Evaluation. Experience with human subject test and HVAC systems experiments and data analysis are particularly important.
Strong candidates will have demonstrated expertise in one or more of these themes with will seek to pursue advanced study that is aligned with the SinBerBEST Theme A. The candidate will work in Singapore at BEARS, a UC Berkeley center for research, graduate education, and innovation in Singapore.
